Nissan has announced a new model for 2015 called, 2015 Nissan Altima. Model for 2015 will not be visually very different from the model year 2014, but will be much richer equipment, new engines and interior. So far very little is known about this new model, and we will do our best to describe it as closer. For this model there are already a lot of interest in various markets. On the pictures is from the 2014 model, which will be on the market in mid-2015.
New Sport Value Package with 16 “alloy wheels, remote start engine and trunk lid spoiler was also added. The vehicle received NissanConnect extension services to connect over NissanConnect vehicle applications, then global integration platform smartphone. Also available are a number of applications that use the internet car. Model’s evolution has become one in which the performance is as important as fuel efficiency, price and design. It was not nearly as dramatic design statement as sonata or optima but new grille and more angular lead all part of a package. Undeniable handsome interior cargo dimensions of the previous year but the overall feel is a little lower, wider and more comfortable. The headlights and grille are clearly Infiniti-inspired pieces that help the Altima evolve in a way that the ubiquitous previous model could not.
Other improvements include a revised model of seat materials, improved noise insulation, chrome exhaust pipes on all models. The standard powertrain is a 182-horsepower, 2.5-liter four-cylinder mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT). It’s plenty of power for the point-A-to-point-B school of driving, though the drivetrain can be loud at the higher reaches of its range. Premium Altimas will continue to offer a quick-footed 3.5-liter V-6 with 270 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, rated at 22/30 mpg. Tuned here for higher mileage than ever, Nissan’s aiming for an EPA highway rating of 27 miles per gallon city, 38 miles per gallon highway, putting it on par with some hybrids and above leaders like today’s standard Hyundai Sonata, rated at 35 mpg highway. Good for the heating-up against the winter or cooling down in the summer blistery months (or both) this feature is appreciated. Steering is responsive.
